Mike Shannon
En septembre 1962, à 17 ans et demi, en écoutant la radio Europe 1, il entend une annonce dans l'émission « Salut les Copains » qui va changer sa vie.
Il monte à Paris pour auditionner aux studios de Boulogne-Billancourt, pour "Les Chats Sauvages", ce groupe de rock devenu mythique qui cherche un nouveau chanteur.
In 1957, Mike, with his ear glued to the TSF station, listening to English Radio Luxembourg, discovered music that would change his life: Rock 'n' roll. and formed his first group with young people of his age... "Les Flammes bleues" in Toulouse.
In September 1962, at the age of 17 and a half, while listening to Europe 1 radio, he heard an announcement in the program "Salut les Copains" "Hello friends" which would change his life.
He goes to Paris to audition at the Boulogne-Billancourt studios, for "Les Chats Sauvages", this now legendary rock group which is looking for a new singer.
Pioneer of rock'n roll in France Mike Shannon, began an international career that year and recorded with them a title which would become standard and... the group's biggest seller... "Derniers Baisers" "Sealed with a Kiss " sold... 2.000.000 copies. He left "les Chats" in 1964, attracted by the sirens of Canada, to begin a solo career.
Mike after singing all over the world has written numerous songs for a range of artists and now lives in peaceful retirement in his hometown of Toulouse.
